Rice Visitor Network
Connect to the open Rice Visitor wireless network with your laptop or mobile device. No NetID, username, or password is required.
Eduroam
Eduroam is a worldwide secure network access service for visitors from participating institutions. It allows guests to log in using their home institution credentials. See instructions for connecting: Connecting to Eduroam.
Computers, Printers, and Scanners
Public Computers and Printing
Public computers, printers, scanners, and photocopiers are available in Fondren Library for visitor use. Ask library staff for assistance with login and printing instructions.
Computers for Continuing Studies Students
Continuing Studies students may use computer labs provided by their instructors. Contact your program coordinator or instructor for locations and access details.
Guest Accounts & Temporary Access
Temporary Guest Account
Rice employees can sponsor a temporary guest account through the Rice Visitor Management System. Options may include limited access to email, VPN, or other IT services for approved visitors.
Visiting Presenters
Guest presenters who need to use Office of the Registrar (OTR) classroom podium computers can be granted temporary access. This process is only needed for visitors without a Rice NetID who are using campus equipment. Learn more: Temporary Guest Access for OTR Classroom Podium Computers.
